Five Businesses selected to showcase Northumberland’s Manufacturing Sector

Five manufacturing businesses based in Northumberland have been successful in securing fully funded exhibition space at a major industry conference in June.

Taking place at the NEC Birmingham over three days, SubCon is firmly established as the must-attend event for manufacturing buyers across all industry sectors. With over 350 different suppliers from over 20 different countries in attendance, exhibiting at SubCon will give Northumberland businesses an opportunity to showcase themselves on an international scale.

Advance Northumberland, who are funding the exhibition space and hosting the Northumberland Pavilion, opened up the application process to all manufacturing linked businesses across the county before selecting Arian EMS, Horizon Works, OEL Group, Universal Wolf, and Texo, to represent the county.

Advance Northumberland is looking to showcase investment opportunities and the strength of the supply chain manufacturing cluster in Northumberland by offering a platform for businesses operating in the supply chain that are looking to grow or diversify their business.

The best of British manufacturing will be on display at SubCon alongside a wealth of market leading international suppliers all looking to help UK manufacturers optimise their supply chain.  Visitors include key decision makers from a range of industries including automotive, aerospace, electronics, energy, rail, oil and gas and defence and security.

Advance Northumberland will host the Northumberland pavilion promoting a strong manufacturing cluster, attracting inward investment projects and showcasing the best Northumberland has to offer. The exhibition receives around 4,000 visitors and over 400 exhibitors, with 70% of visitors attending finding new suppliers/solutions. The show is taking place from 4th to 6th June 2019 at Birmingham NEC.

Ken Dunbar, Managing Director of Advance Northumberland said: “We have a strong manufacturing sector in Northumberland and it’s great to see that illustrated through these five businesses. They all bring something different to the table so we will be able to demonstrate the variety of opportunities within Northumberland and showcase the county as a great place to do business and encourage new inward investment projects.”

Kerry Hardwick of OEL Group said: “We would like to thank Advance Northumberland for the opportunity to attend Subcon, and we are looking forward to showcase our services/products, as well as working alongside other businesses. We aim to increase our brand awareness and make some great connections.”
