Electrical Engineering: WSCAD with numerous new interfaces and functions at Engineer Expo - Stand E74

BERGKIRCHEN. WSCAD GmbH with its head office in Bergkirchen near Munich has expanded its partnership with the technology and automation group Siemens. The international group is already represented by several tens of thousands of symbols and part data in the world’s most powerful electrical CAD data library wscaduniverse.com. The WSCAD SUITE now enables its users to access the world of TIA (Total Integrated Automation) from Siemens. The new interface developed by WSCAD links the CAD platform WSCAD SUITE X to the TIA portal and to the design tool TIA Selection Tool. The bidirectional exchange of data helps to speed up joint engineering projects and improves design quality for machinery, plant and building automation.

“Access to the Siemens Total Integrated Automation (TIA) automation environment is another step towards digital transformation in machine and plant engineering. It offers numerous possibilities for optimising processes and providing a better level of service for the same effort”, says Axel Zein, CEO WSCAD GmbH.

More and more manufacturers are providing part and master data for their components in the world’s most powerful electrical database wscaduniverse.com free of charge. There are currently more than 1.3 million symbols and part data from more than 240 manufacturers in the electrical CAD formats WSCAD and Eplan* as well as native 3D-CAD data in more than 100 formats including step, iges, CATIA*, SIEMENS NX*, AutoCAD* or JT*. The new version has a completely revised user interface with numerous performance enhancements as well as new functions, including compliance with the ISO/IEC standards-compliant industry standard eCl@ss. Axel Zein: “wscaduniverse.com has enabled us to reach more than 70 percent of the electrical CAD market in Germany. Being able to find electrical and 3D data in one place will enable users to save a great deal of time and improve the quality of their work. Using real 3D data can really open up completely new possibilities for electrical CAD applications.”

The interdisciplinary, database-based electrical CAD platform from WSCAD is a modular and scalable engineering solution which optimally maps and controls design and development processes in industry and for building automation. The innovative functions ensure productive and consistent use in the six disciplines for Electrical Engineering, Cabinet Engineering, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Fluid Engineering, Building Automation and Electrical Installation.
